Here we are on the cusp of spring, and as is typical of the weather in Detroit at this time of year, last week it was 70 degrees and this week we had snow flurries. It can be challenging and cumbersome to plan outdoor activities and travel at the end of winter and in early spring. Speaking from recent firsthand experience, you might find yourself leaving on a short trip wearing a lighter-weight jacket and loafers, but because the weather forecast shows snow and cold on one of the days in your destination city, you have to lug extra gear with you – your winter coat, boots, hat and gloves.
